The Humane Society's Dead of Winter will be held on Saturday, January 28th from 7 to 9 PM.  This year's theme is "The Nightmares of Alice in Wonderland". Admission is $10.00 with all proceeds to benefit the Humane Society.

The Sebring Angels and Barking Dog rescue organizations are in dire need of dog food. Allstar Car Sales in Sebring is hosting a dog food collection event to help. You can help also by dropping off donations of dog food at 2671 US Highway 27 North in Sebring at Allstar Car Sales.

Leisure Lakes Volunteer Fire Department will host their Annual Rummage Sale on Friday, January 20th and Saturday, January 21st from 8 AM to 1 PM. The sale will be held at 3022 Miller Avenue in Lake Placid.

Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church Women's Guild in Avon Park will hold their Annual Rummage and Bake Sale on Friday, January 20th and Saturday, January 21st starting at 8 AM. There will be something for everyone from clothing to household items.

Circle of Truth Ministries will provide a night of worship featuring Clayton Jennings on Saturday, January 21st at 6 PM at Dee's Place. A benefit BBQ dinner will also be held in the back lot starting at 4 PM. Dee's Place is located at 138 North Ridgewood Drive in Sebring.
