The Circle Theatre is offering Tai Chi Classes every Monday with Ray Drury from 9 to 10 AM. The cost is $10.00 per class with all proceeds to benefit Champion for Children.

Dust off your dancing shoes and head over to Circle Theatre for Couples Dance Lessons on Thursday nights in April and May. The cost is $5.00 per person and classes are taught by instructors from Carmela's Rhythm. For more information call 382-1029.

The Highlands County Sherriff's Office and the Lake Placid High School Student Government will be holding a Bicycle Drive during the month of April to collect bikes to be used during summer camp. For more information call Lake Placid High School SGA at 699-5010.

Carmela's Rhythm will hold a fundraiser on Friday, April 18th from 6 to 9 PM at McDonalds in Avon Park. On Saturday, April 19th they will hold a yard sale fundraiser at 2523 US 27 South from 6 AM to 12 PM. Proceeds will benefit the Boys and Girls Club.

The Downtown Community Sidewalk Garage Sale will be held on Saturday, April 19th on the Circle from 7 AM to 1 PM. For more information call 382-2649.

Sun N Lake presents an Easter Festival on Saturday, April 19th from 9 AM to 1 PM at the Sun N Lake Recreation Complex. Admission is $2.00 per person. The Dash and Dye is sold out, you can come cheer at 9 AM for the runners and enjoy the festivities. For more information call 382-2196.

Desoto City Volunteer Fire Department will host their annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 19th. The fun and games begin at 9 AM, egg hunt at 10 AM and the Easter Bunny will arrive between 9 and 10 AM. The festivities will be held at Station #19 located at 6800 West George Boulevard in Sebring. Grace Bible Church will hold their Annual Famfest Eggstravagnza on Saturday, April 19th at Firemen's Field. Gates open at 9:30 AM with tons of family activities. BBQ or hotdog lunch will be available to purchase.

A family Easter celebration will be held from 10 AM to noon on Saturday, April 19th at St. John United Methodist Church. Come and enjoy egg hunt, crafts, snacks, cake walk and the Easter story. The church is located at 3214 Grand Prix Drive. For more information call 382-1736.

Henscratch Farms 6th Annual Easter Festival will be held on Saturday, April 19th from 10 AM to 2 PM with fun for the whole family. Heartland Horses and Handicapped will host an Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 19th from 11 AM to 3 PM with 3 egg hunts, pony rides, bounce houses and food and drink available to purchase. Tanglewood will host a line dance on Saturday, April 19th from 6 to 9 PM at the clubhouse. Admission is $2.00 for residents and guests. Proceeds will benefit the Sebring Battered Women's Shelter. Donations of paper products and clothing will also be accepted.

Friends of Highlands Hammock State Park presents Music in the Park featuring Rick Arnold with favorite oldies from the 50's, 60's and 70's on Saturday, April 19th from 7 to 9 PM. The Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics will be held in Sebring on Friday, May 2nd at 7:30 AM as the Flame of Hope makes its way across Florida. The Torch Run will start at Publix South and end at Veteran's Beach. Signups start at 7 AM. Come and support Highlands County Law Enforcement and make a donation to Special Olympics.
