The Lake Placid High School Band Boosters will hold a fundraiser Spaghetti Dinner on Saturday, April 18th from 4:30 to 7 PM the the Lake Placid American Legion. Dinners are $8.00 with dine-in or take-out available.
Ridge Area Arc and Waypoints Financial presents Kokomo on Saturday, April 18th from 6 to 10 PM at the Island View Restaurant of Sun N Lake. The Friends of Highlands Hammock State Park presents Music in the Park to be held on Saturday, April 18th from 7 to 9 PM featuring Lotela Gold. Admission is $5.00 per person with children 12 and under free. Park admission is waved after 6PM. Bring blankets or chairs. Proceeds benefit park improvements.
The Highlands County YMCA will hold Healthy Kids Day on Saturday, April 25th. Admission is free and includes a bicycle safety course, dance competitions, big slide, bounce house, jump-a-thon, health vendors and more. Membership and punch card specials will be available. The 5th Annual Rotary Bluegrass Blueberry Festival will be held in Donaldson Park on Saturday, April 25th from 10 AM to 4 PM. A BBQ Chicken Dinner will be available, along with blueberry pie, blueberry lemonade, fresh blueberries by the pint or flat (6 pints), and blueberry plants. There will also be a Kid's Zone, Bluegrass Bands, and original arts and crafts vendors. Don't forget to enter your favorite recipe in the Blueberry Bake-Off Contest.
