The Highlands Museum of the Arts invites you to see the Ringling College of Art and Design's Special Exhibit of Fine Art. The exhibit will be on display throughout the month of November. For more information call 385-6682.

Hill-Gustat Middle School will host a Yard Sale on Black Friday, November 28th and Saturday, November 29th starting at 8 AM. Proceeds will benefit the HGMS athletes. The school is located at 4700 Schumacher Road in Sebring.

Masonic District 25 will be providing FREE child IDs for ages up to 18 on Saturday, November 29th from 10 AM to 2 PM at the Circle Theatre in Sebring. You will receive a CD with your child's pictures, voice, fingerprints, emergency information and D N A. For more information call Ross at 452-0346.

The Breakfast Rotary and the Avon Park CRA presents Music on the Mall featuring Lotella Gold on Saturday, November 29th from 5 to 8 PM at The Bandstand on Main Street. Bring your own chair. Tanglewood will host a Line Dance on Saturday, November 29th from 6 to 9 PM. Admission is $2.00 for residents and guests. Please bring a new unwrapped toy. Proceeds will benefit the Christmas Toy Drive for the Salvation Army.

The Sebring Noon Rotary Club will hold their annual Circle of Cans around the Circle of Sebring on Friday, December 5th from 7 AM to 3 PM. Rotarians will be present to accept cans of food and monetary donations to help support the Salvation Army. For more information please call Mary at 385-8538.

Christmas on the Mall presents Weekend Visits with Santa every Friday from 5 to 8 PM, Saturday from 6 to 8 PM and Sunday from 5 to 8 PM. Visits will be held starting December 5th through Christmas Eve. Santa will be at Santa Claus Square in Avon Park.

The Avon Park Christmas Parade will be held on Monday, December 1st at 7 PM. The Sebring Christmas Parade will be held on Friday, December 5th at 7 PM. The Lake Placid Christmas Parade will be held on Saturday, December 13th at 7 PM.

The Sebring High School Key Club will host a 5K Healthy Heart Run/Walk on Saturday, December 6th at 8 AM at Highlands Hammock State Park. For more information email Colleen at polattyc@highlands.k12.fl.us Proceeds will benefit Champion for Children Garden in memory of Jimmy Polatty.

The Lake Placid Cheer Booster's 2nd Annual Rummage Sale will be held on Saturday, December 6th from 8 AM to 2 PM at the Masonic Lodge at 102 North Main Avenue. Vendors are needed to rent spaces. For more information call Sharon at 840-1379.

Spring Lake United Methodist Church will hold their Annual Craft Bazaar Cookie Walk on Saturday, December 6th from 8 AM to 2 PM. Come shop for homemade crafts, holiday decorations, baked goods and much more. Breakfast and lunch will be served. The church is located off of Highway 98 at 8170 Cozumel Lane.

ABATE of Florida, Inc. Interstate Chapter will host their 29th Annual Toy Run on Saturday, December 6th with line up at 11 AM at the Blue Crab Restaurant. The Lake Placid Garden Club is hosting the 4th Annual Home and Garden Tour on Saturday, December 6th from 1 to 4 PM. Tickets are $10.00 in advance or $12.00 on the day of the tour. St. James Catholic Church will host a Bazaar on Saturday, December 6th from 9 AM to 7 PM and on Sunday, December 7th from 9 AM to Noon. Donations of new or nearly new items are being accepted. Bill Jarrett Ford in Avon Park presents Santa Fly In 2014 on Saturday, December 13th starting at 10 AM. See Santa and Mrs. Claus arrive via helicopter from the North Pole, take pictures and visit with them as you enjoy sweet treats, petting zoo, train rides, caricature artist and much more.
