The Lake Placid High School National Honor Society and Student Government will be selling Christmas trees and wreaths Monday - Friday from 4 to 7 PM, Saturday from 9 AM to 7 PM and Sunday from noon to 6 PM. The tent will be located at the tennis courts in front of the high school. Proceeds will benefit scholarships and leadership camps.

The Avon Park Christmas Parade will be held on Monday, November 30th, the Sebring Christmas Parade will be held on Friday, December 4th and the Lake Placid Christmas Parade will be held on Saturday, December 12th.

Celebrate Small Business Saturday in Downtown Sebring with Pajama Shop starting at 8 AM with juice, coffee and donuts. Visit with Santa 11 AM to 1 PM. The Circle Lighting Ceremony to kick-off Carousel of Lights will be held at 6 PM with Santa, music and much more. For more information call Liz at 385-8448.

The Main Street CRA and City of Avon Park present Christmas on the Mall starting November 30th with free festive family fun for all ages on Main Street.

Spring Lake United Methodist Church will host their annual Craft Bazaar and Cookie Walk on Saturday, December 5th from 8 AM to 2 PM. Homemade crafts and goodies will be available. The church is located at 8170 Cozumel Lane.

The Lake Placid Garden Club is hosting its 5th Annual Holiday Home and Garden Tour on Saturday, December 5th from 10 AM to 4 PM. For tickets or more information call Peggy at 465-1269.

The Highlands County Family YMCA presents Christmas at the YMCA on Saturday, December 5th from 6 to 9 PM. The cost is $3.00 per person with ages 2 and under free. Come and visit Santa's workshop and enjoy tons of fun including pictures with Santa, games, candy, bounce house, arts and crafts, kiddy train and much more. The Avon Park Church of the Nazarene will hold Revival Services from December 6th through 9th. Evangelist are Reverend Tim Stearsman and Mark Murphey. The Champion for Children Circle Theatre will host a Talent Show fundraiser event for Christmas in the Highlands on Sunday, December 13th from 5 to 9 PM. Competitors registration fee is $20 with more information available at 202 North Circle Drive in Sebring. Tickets to enjoy the show are $10.00 for adults, $7.00 for children 15-6, free for children 5 or younger.

Friends of Highlands Hammock State Park presents Music in the Park concert series with Rick Arnold on Saturday, January 16th, California Toe Jam Band on Saturday, February 20th and Brian Smalley on Saturday, April 16th.
